This classically-influenced kitchen is the latest in blending traditional, old-world charm with updated design elements and accessories. The custom cabinets are a mix of styles with full overlay base cabinetry to maximize storage and inset upper cabinetry with exposed hinges.  The creamy beige evokes a warm and inviting feeling, complemented by the unlaquered brass hinges, cabinet hardware, and pendant lighting. The custom stainless hood is a modified barrel shape that echos the finishes with its unlacquered brass strapping and rivets. The island features contrasting black painted cabinetry with a book-matched Breccia Capraia marble countertop. The kitchen coffee bar is a modern interpretation of a Parisian cafe, with its open glass shelving against handmade crackled subway tile. The elevated touches are felt throughout, from the paneled alliances to the herringbone wood floors, from the seamless black quartzite stone farm sink that blends with the countertops to the brass pot filler. The cooktop backsplash begins with a 6″ vertical marble slab, topped by a 3″ deep stone shelf, and continues with the crackled subway tile that adds charm.

Upon entering the walk-in pantry, one sees vertical v-groove paneling, with a closed-door cabinet on one side to house spice rack and oils, and open shelving on the other for trays and platters, all painted in warm grey. The back wall includes an under-counter beverage unit. The same durable  black quartzite was chosen for these countertops to make this a functional workstation.
