Nantucket Chic

After vacationing on Nantucket her entire life this interior designer’s goal was to build her dream home on the island with an inviting, fresh and sophisticated feel.

Collaborating with Deane they started with the kitchen first. The kitchen evolved into a highly functional and beautiful space with a clean and fresh aesthetic. Symmetry and beauty were the goals for this destination kitchen. To achieve this, the cabinetry was painted a classic white, with paneled appliances and polished nickel statement hardware. The appliances were strategically selected and located with a 36” Wolf range with a classic sloped hood as a center point with counter space on either side. Matching SubZeros flanked each end for balance. Directly across from the range is a 14’ marble island used for prep on one side and seating on the other. The custom-colored transitional pendants and custom barstools echo the color palette from the adjacent rooms. The countertops are book-matched Michaelangelo marble with a timeless subway tile backsplash.

The bar features a polished Thassos and Calcutta marble mosaic backsplash with open sand color floating shelves which mimic the floor. White quartz countertops were selected for worry-free entertaining. Built-in wine fridge, beverage cooler and additional storage for glassware ensure the perfect cocktail hour.
