Woven Textures

This thoughtfully designed kitchen blends soft coastal luxury with everyday luxury, creating a welcoming space for a waterfront summer home. Painted in Chantilly Lace, the cabinetry provides a crisp, airy backdrop for the striking Matterhorn Quartzite countertops, whose light blue undertones echo the surrounding shoreline while standing up to the demands of active use. A handcrafted 4×4 zellige tile backsplash—running all the way up to the ceiling and wrapping seamlessly around the windows—pulls together creamy whites, warm beiges, gentle grays, and sand-dune hues. It’s a designer-favorite detail that brings texture, depth, and life to the entire space.

Designed within a 740-square-foot main floor, the kitchen was carefully integrated into the living area to create a seamless flow ideal for entertaining and relaxed summer living. Fully closed cabinetry enhances this continuity, ensuring the space feels cohesive rather than visually segmented. Smart storage solutions abound, including hidden storage on both sides of the island and open corner shelving for curated display moments.

A sculptural painted wood hood with a soft tulip shape serves as a subtle focal point, complemented by weathered white bronze hardware and the warmth of natural fiber island stools and woven pendant lighting. Paneled appliances—including a Sub-Zero refrigerator, wine storage, and a cleverly concealed pantry designed to resemble a second refrigerator column—maintain a clean, streamlined aesthetic. High-performance appliances from Thermador and Miele ensure the kitchen is as functional as it is beautiful, perfectly suited for effortless coastal living.
