DEANE WINS 2021 LUXURY KITCHEN RECYCLING AWARD

The 2021 National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) / Renovation Angel Luxury Kitchen Recycling Awards were presented in July 2021, at the NKBA Luxury Summit, a LIVE VIRTUAL event.

Presented by Steve Feldman, CEO, Renovation Angel, Suzie Williford, EVP & CSO, NKBA, and Peter Salerno, CMKBD, Peter Salerno Inc., the winners of the Luxury Kitchen Recycling Awards honor designers who go above and beyond to repurpose high-end kitchens to keep them out of landfills.

For the second year in a row, DEANE was recognized as the clear winner for the most upcycled kitchens from a firm with over 43 kitchens recycled since 2018, and over 100 since 2004.

The awards competition was open to all kitchen designers, architects, contractors, interior designers, and other industry professionals making sustainable renovation practices a part of their toolkit. Industry professionals submitted projects where at least 50% of the existing materials were recycled or donated, and projects must have been completed between January 1, 2020, and December 31, 2020.

“I am honored to have our work recognized by Renovation Angel,” said Peter Deane, DEANE, Inc Principal. “We have been a supporter of Renovation Angel for over 15 years. Our clients value and appreciate that they offer removal solutions that have a significant environmental impact in addition to financial benefits and tax benefits. Over 60% of DEANE projects are leveraged for Renovation Angel and we are proud of our efforts in luxury recycling. Often our clients are replacing kitchens that are still perfectly serviceable, so Renovation Angel is the perfect partner to help divert millions of pounds of kitchen cabinets, bath fixtures, home furnishings, and architectural elements from landfills.”
