A show-stopping vacation home in Miami for a repeat DEANE client, the design mandate was to create a space for memorable entertaining that was sleek, sophisticated, and distinctive.
Centered in the tray ceiling with recessed lighting, the custom stainless steel hood is 6 feet tall and 6 feet wide, requiring a hydraulic lift to raise it over the duel fuel Wolf 60″ range with double griddle. Grounded under the hood, the oversized island with seating for six is a 209″ long, waterfall edge, marble slab with a 3″ thick countertop.
The gleaming cabinetry features brushed stainless steel doors, encased in polished nickel trim. The drawers have upgraded walnut interiors with integrated LED lighting. Tightly-woven stainless steel wire accents add depth and dimension to the bottom hood trim, and are echoed in the upper cabinetry inset panels in the back wall. Paneled integrated subzero freezer refrigerator columns blend seamlessly into the wall.
Located behind the sink wall, the back kitchen keeps the behind-the-scenes work and prep space cleanly out of sight. A narrow, yet highly functional, galley kitchen houses the steam oven, second sink, dishwasher, oven, and a hidden appliance garage behind retractable doors with LED lighting throughout.
