Oak & Olive

This kitchen strikes the perfect balance between bold design and timeless sophistication. The perimeter cabinetry, painted a deep green, anchors the space with a rich, dramatic tone, while fixtures add a layer of warmth and elegance. Natural textures, like woven pendant lights and cane barstools, introduce organic elements that are contrasted by the burnished brass hardware from Armac Martin. The large center island, topped with marble matched in the single slab backsplashes throughout, serves as both a functional workspace and stylish gathering spot. It is finished in a warm flat-cut white oak to accentuate the wood grain and lend character.

Ample storage keeps the design clean and uncluttered, while the cooking wall, with a GE Monogram range, pot filler, and inset niches for spices, seasonings, and cooking oils, caters to serious home chefs. The wooden ceiling beams evoke the feeling of a cooking hearth, and are echoed in the open shelving with integrated LED lighting that highlights accent pieces.

Outside the working hub of the kitchen is a wood-lined coffee and entertainment bar, flanked by paneled appliances on the right and a pantry on the left. Complete with additional storage and an undercounter wine refrigeration unit, it is the ideal place to start and end your day.

This renovation was the result of a fluid and truly enjoyable collaboration between the DEANE designer, the interior designer, and the homeowner. The DEANE Designer loves the color concept of warm green and oak, and how using color conveys a warm, inviting feeling.
