Because of the house’s open concept, the design of the kitchen was such an essential piece of the overall house’s architecture, as it had to seamlessly flow into surrounding rooms. The designer sourced a number of custom finishes and design options for the client that reflected the latest industry trends. The countertops were a man-made quartz, with the eating counter done in a custom, blackened stainless steel. The cabinets were a contemporary, flat panel design, in a combination of rift oak with a dark stain and a custom grey in a high-gloss lacquer accented with stainless steel pulls. Miele appliances and custom hood by DEANE in stainless steel rounded out the final design.
