A heart-of-the-home kitchen was always top of mind because one of the homeowners loves to cook and bake. Carrie Parker, of Carrie Parker Interiors collaborated with DEANE’s Veronica Campbell for the kitchen in this Westchester home renovation.

Anticipating that people would be prone to gather and chat, Parker recommended counter stools on two sides of the island to facilitate conversation. Rich green cabinets echo the lush landscape, bringing the outside in. For warmth, they added white oak for the island, floating shelves, and ceiling beams; built-ins (a spice nook and coffee bar) up the ante on character. The counters and range backsplash are Calacatta Tucci marble from BAS Stone. The hanging fixture is a vintage-inspired custom light from Lostine, a small boutique company in the Philadelphia area.
